Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class on guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105)

PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 24, 2018) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Joe Tyson, front, and Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Jake Anderson, both assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), man MK 38 MOD 2 mount consoles in the ship’s pilot house during an integrated training team (ITT) drill. Dewey is on a scheduled deployment to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific region. It will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
